Fenix Consulting Pty Ltd was formed in 2013, by four specialists in application migration and application packaging with extensive backgrounds in the IT service provision and consultancy industry. We provide solutions to clients that blend best practice with that broad, real world experience.

Why Package Applications?

A single installation of an application can take in excess of half an hour. When this is multiplied by thousands of end user devices, and numerous different applications, the task quickly becomes overwhelming and very expensive.

Application Packaging is the process of customising an application installer prior to deployment so it can be executed silently and without user input.

The application package can be easily distributed to large numbers of desktops using a deployment tool such as Microsoft SCCM. Applications arrive at the user's desktop ready to use, no configuration required. This reduces the ongoing cost of managing the applications. There are fewer compatibility issues, a more consistent user experience and a more stable operating environment.

Most packaging services use an overseas packaging factory approach. This allows them to charge what appear to be low prices. However if your people have to spend their time resubmitting and retesting the same applications multiple times, costs rapidly outweigh the savings.
